Making the Case for Bus

This document was commissioned by the Department for Transport (DfT), prepared by Arup and issued in November 2024.

It is intended to help local authority officers, and other bus practitioners, to make the case for bus schemes.

This toolkit is relevant for those bus improvement schemes that do not require a formal business case. For these larger schemes, refer to DfT guidance on transport business cases.
